As a Volunteer Student Mentor, you will be paired with one elementary or middle school student in our area and provide them academic and peer support virtually.  You will be paired with one student and accompany them for the Spring semester (March-May of 2021) of our Student Companion Project. Your Advance promotes an inclusive environment for everyone to succeed. Our work has been featured on the Herald Tribune, UnidosNow, Bay News 9 and other platforms.  
















Your Advance is a student-led non-profit in Manatee and Sarasota County, uplifting the community through revolutionary programs and initiatives to boost student engagement, promote dynamic outcomes,  and support endless opportunities for all K-12 students. Since our founding in 2020, we've served over 40 families in need with no-cost tutoring and mentoring service from our area's high-achieving group of high school scholars.


Your Advance's programs and community-orientated tutoring efforts will help engage students to continually learn and reinforces academic content outside of the classroom setting. Through its launch in the summer of 2020, Your Advance will close learning gaps for all students regardless of financial hardships. We will meet or exceed the goals of successfully preparing and addressing summer learning loss to inspire students to dream big. Our organization will drive students who are willing to commit and challenge themselves in their academia to achieve excellence beyond the classroom and school year for society's benefit.


With our volunteers, mentors, and partners' work, we have to ability to make the Suncoast community a better place for all. We hope to continue our commitment to west Florida and spread awareness about the power of positive influences and a world of possibilities that become available when we all share knowledge and experiences.
